We are offering this wonderful antiquarian book entitled "The River of the West. Life and Adventure in the Rocky Mountains and Oregon", by Frances Fuller Victor. The book consists of 602 pages and many plates including a portrait of Joe Meek. It is the biography of Joe Meek, one of the many interesting characters involved in the era of the fur trade. The author has a gift for writing a very interesting story and the book has been described as one of the best reading books on the fur trade.
