Navajo rugs from the J.B. Moore catalog are always highly sought-after items. We have been fortunate enough to obtain such a rug! This completely hand woven rug from the Crystal region is made with a pallet of natural colors of cream, brownish-black, brown, black, and aniline dyed red. The rug is nicely sized for display purposes measuring about 4 feet 1 inches by 3 feet 3 inches. The condition is wonderful showing very little sign of its age! It is a heavy and tight weave. Overall, the condition is outstanding. There are several minor spots that we have tried to include in our photos. Other than those few spots it is quite clean. In our opinion this rug is above average. If it was ever a floor rug, then is was treated with respect. The bold graphic design and the strong reds makes a wonderful statement when hanging on a wall or over a railing. It would also be stunning on a floor but it would a shame to subject such a fine survivor to that kind of abuse. There is no doubt that once you have this elegant piece of art in your home, then you will find a way to show it off to best advantage.
