For your consideration we are offering a terrific hand-woven Navajo rug from Red Mesa. It is completely hand woven rug with a pallet of natural colors of beige, brownish-black, brown, black, and aniline dyed red. The rug is nicely sized for display purposes measuring about 4 feet 10 inches by 2 feet 11 inches. The condition is quite good, although it does show some signs of age! It is a heavy and tight weave. There are a number of pulls in the wool and some light bleeding of the red. At one end some of the selvage is gone and the tassels on the corners are short or missing. There are a number of small spots. In our opinion this rug is better than average for its age. It might have been on a floor at one time, but if so then is was treated well. The bold double trident graphic design makes a wonderful statement when hanging on a wall or over a railing. It would also be stunning on a floor but it would a shame to subject such a fine survivor to that kind of abuse. There is no doubt that once you have this elegant piece of art in your home, then you will find a way to show it off to best advantage.
As a piece of art or a decorative element in an Arts and Crafts home, you can not go wrong with this beauty. If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to send email.
