In 1970 Fenton Glass Company re-issued their Persian Medallion pattern. This gorgeous pattern definitely has an Oriental flavor with intricate rings of embroidered medallions. The re-issued pieces are quite a bit heavier than those done in the early 1900's which does not allow the light to pass through them like their earlier counterpart; but the pattern is just as beautiful.
This particular bowl has an additional pattern of beaded berries or some call them blackberries on the outside and also Fenton has added a gorgeous webbed or heavy crackle effect to the outside of this bowl as well. I have never seen one with all three patterns and they truly do make this bowl an outstanding work of art.
The trim on the bowl is a scalloped ruffle and it is marked Fenton in the circle. (1970 for carnival glass and also used through 1974 on other Fenton pieces)/
Our bowl is in mint condition and stands 2 3/4" high by 7 ¾" in diameter.
