This gorgeous 5 piece Water Set was made by Fenton in the early 1900s in what they call Enameled Lotus. For the age the enamel; it is in extraordinary condition with only very minor ware. Most sets I have seen with this hand painted enamel normally have more ware than paint. However the pitcher does have a stress crack where the handle attaches to the pitcher and some sort of discoloring; almost like weathered paint on the inside of the neck. This is not easily seen without turning the pitcher and shining light on the area. Please see picture # 6 for details. The pitcher does not have any nicks or chips and no visible ware to the rim or bottom.
Each tumbler is ribbed on the inside and is in excellent condition for their age with no nicks or chip. There is very slight ware to the iridescent on the rim and slight ware on the bottom of the glasses but truly they are in great shape.
This pitcher is large; standing 9 ¾ high and approximately 8 from front to back. Each tumbler stands 4 high by 3 in diameter.
This set looks like it just came out of Great Grandma's China Cupboard and would be a charming addition to any buffet or China Cabinet.
