STUNNING, Pickard, pitcher hand painted in Pickard's Cherry Lattice pattern which features bouquets of ruby red, cherries nestled in lush greenery and highlighted with a radiant gold. It is proudly signed by the talented, Pickard china painter, Joseph C. Beitler and reverse bears both a Limoges and Pickard hallmark used between 1903 and 1905. Also, on the bottom is what appears to be a patent stamp which reads, Feb. 23-00 and right below is, No. 3/352. Both of the last numbers are smeared so it is difficult to know if those particular numbers are in fact correct. It stands, from its golden spout to its gilded base, nearly 8 inches.
With the exception of the expected, light surface scratches on the gold, this artist signed and hand painted, antique beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
