Spectacular - Vintage -18" - Meticulously Hand Carved - Wood - Cherub - Angel - Putti - Folk Art

Fabulous, vintage, angelic statue playing a large, tambourine. He appears to be handcarved out of a single piece of wood with the wings also handcrafted and attached separately. This sweet, musician has an endearing form with delicate features to his face. The meticulous hand painting has a folk art quality, finished with a washed patina. He stands, from the top of his curly, brown hair to his chubby, bare feet, 18.5 inches and his wing span measures an impressive, 14.75 inches. With no markings or hallmark, it is difficult to give an age, but his detailed craftmanship would indicate possibly around the turn of the Century.

This endearing figurine is in excellent condition with only a few tiny cracks and chips here and there and some desired chippy paint.
