Fenton Handpainted Log Cabin on Burmese Glass Elephant

Here is a burmese Fenton glass figurine in the shape of an elephant. It has been handpainted by the artist known as Jim E., which is a pseudonym. The design is known as Log Cabin and was originally painted on custard glass in the 1970's.

This piece was produced within the past 10 years. Jim E. is an independent artist who didn't decorate these pieces at the Fenton Factory. These items were purchased undecorated and then handpainted and sold individually. The base is signed 'Painted by Jim E.'.

This limited elephant is 3 3/4 inches tall and in excellent condition with no damage or wear.

Burmese glass has real gold in the formula, and when it's reheated it produces a pink blush. There is a beautiful pink blush that covers most of the body of this adorable animal.
