I have over 30 photos--please email for additional photos! This stunning French bebe is a Bru transitional model with a Brevette body and an incredible Modele face! She is very rare and dates circa 1883-1886. She originates from an exclusive Bebe collection from an internationally known collector. This rare bebe is a must for a serious collector and would make an important addition to a Bru collection. Lovely bisque with peaches and cream, pale coloring.(teeny rub to one eyebrow) There is a small firing line along the curve of her nose, on one side. Please note my additional photos do show this in a magnified view. The most incredible gray blue paperweight eyes, painted brows, with expertly painted upper and lower lashes and outlined lines around the eye rims. Cupids bow shaped pale coral colored painted closed mouth and pale rose blushed cheeks. Pierced ears with tiny rings in earholes to facilitate the addition of earrings (one antique earring missing). Under magnification, I can see a small earring flake at one hole at each hole and a little bit of glue residue where earring loops have been secured. Incised Bru Jne 7 on the back of her head. She has a beautiful shoulderplate with molded breasts, which is incised No. 7 at the back of shoulder. She has her original Bru Brevette body in kid leather with a old cloth repair to the top of one kid shoulder, and an old kid reinforcement around the chest. Small kid patch to both sides of hips and edge of one kid knee. Lovely stitched toes. Original bisque lower arms with fabulous and dainty fingers, blushed at the tops of her hands. There is a small kid patch to the side of one leather arm and the other has a teeny slit just starting in the leather where the elbow bends (leather). She measures approximately 21" tall. She wears antique lace embellished pantaloons, fabulous antique socks with antique leather shoes marked on the soles with letters. She wears her original/antique, most extraordinary wine colored silk bebe dress with antique lace embellishments and wine colored silk velvet accents at the sleeves and collar. She still has the antique cork pate. Fabulous English mohair wig has been handmade by Wendy Feidt and looks exactly like a true antique. The doll is completed with the most fabulous antique silk and lace French bonnet! An out of this world French bebe, ready for display and is sure to be the crowning jewel in your collection!
