Picassiette (bits of plate) was a traditional craft in Provence , in Southern France during the 19th & early 20th centuries but it's now hard to find nice pieces. Maybe all the broken pottery has dried up ? This rare example with an original print of children measures 22 inches high x 17 wide and has been hanging in my kitchen for several years.(I'm torn between selling or keeping it !) circa 1900-1915
