A rare and beautiful 'cello' shaped country Grandfather or Long Case Clock from Sweden in the Gustavian style , made in the mid-19th Century. Measuring 78 inches high, complete with original weights , pendulum and winding key, this country manor house clock is still in its early but second coat green paint, now worn to reveal behind it, traces of the original 'bullsblood' red. The dial has original handpainted lettering with maker's name 'P.Albery Northvidding'
In fully working condition. The clock is a real 'soul' piece and at present is on loan to my shipper, Stephen Morris, and stands in the foyer of his office in West London.
