Magnificent French 18th C.Trunk/Coffer with decorative brass studwork.
A Magnificent leather covered & domed wood Coffer from France -circa 1780-1820 , with intricately elegant brass studwork decoration and original or early printed paper interior lining.
Measuring 32 inches wide x 25 high x 19 deep, and in reasonable condition for its age, with a few old marks and tears in the leather including ones along the bottom edge of the box which have been carefully touched in.
With original lock and iron carrying handles, trunk/coffers of this genre make wonderful coffee tables in a modern house setting.
