Antique French Wall Mirror in 'Shabby Chic' style

A decorative French Wall Mirror, circa 1890, the remains of the original gilding having been carefully removed to leave the background in worn white paint (edges slightly battered) and with traces of the red'bole' underlay, and on top, the applied relief plasterwork in gold leaf. The silvering showing slight discoloration and marking with age. Size 26 inches wide x 33 tall. The mirror can alternatively be hung horizontally.
