Antique French Sterling Silver & Cut Crystal Intaglio Muffineer Sugar Shaker Caster Sifter

Stunning antique French sterling silver and cut crystal muffineer sugar shaker, sifter, caster. Finely decorated with rocailles with pedestal base. Gilt vermeil to the interior of the lid and bottom of the base. The crystal body featuring a floral and c-scroll intaglio engraving or etching as well as cut fluted paneling. Measures 7" tall. Hallmarked with the French Minerva 1st standard, depicting the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to denote a silver content of .950/1000 (almost pure silver and higher than .925 sterling!) Also bearing maker's marks for silversmith Eugène Lefebvre, active from 1896-1910, whose workshop was located at 14 bis rue des Minimes in Paris. Condition is good considering its age, there is a small dent to the edge of the base, no chips or cracks to the crystal.
