Antique 14k Gold Amethyst & Seed Pearl Brooch / Pin

Antique Edwardian 14k yellow gold figural brooch decorated with seed pearls and mounted with a genuine natural amethyst. Circa 1910. The faceted oval amethyst stone is stunning, cut beautifully and illuminating with such a rich purple color and brilliance, measuring 18.39 x 14.71 x 10.12mm and weighing approx. 14.5 carats. The brooch is finely made, featuring a charming motif in the form of scrolling leaves. The back of the brooch has an old safety C clasp, marked 14k. Accenting the brooch are eight round seed pearls, each measuring about 2.59mm. Marked and tested for 14k gold. In good condition. The brooch measures 1 1/8" in length.
