Volkstedt German Hand Painted Porcelain Allegorical Figurine

An antique Volkstedt allegorical figurine depicting a lady with tambourine in hand. With such a charming face, and wearing a coronet of laurel leaves, she is dressed in colorful flowing Grecian attire, consisting of a rich ruby red color further enhanced by various petite flowers.

Marked at the base for the Triebner Ens & Eckert Porcelain Factory of Volkstedt, Thuringia, Germany. The factory was in operation from (1877-1894) and this mark dates from 1886-1894. Finely crafted and beautifully detailed, the figurine exhibits much of the quality as Meissen or Dresden pieces. Her hands and feet are finely made, open at the fingers! Measures 8 5/8" tall. In fine condition, no chips, cracks or damage to note.
