Large Enamel on Copper Miniature Portrait Gilt Metal Jewelry Box Casket
A vintage gilt metal jewelry box decorated by a kiln-fired enamel on copper portrait plaque, depicting a courting couple in a pastoral setting. Green guilloche enamel accenting plaques adorn the corners. The lid opens to reveal a green velvet lined interior. Has a lock but is lacking a key. In overall good condition with some wear commensurate from age and use, there are a couple of small nips to the enamel visible in the photos. Box measures 5 5/8" in length x 3 7/8" wide x 2 1/2" height.
