Rare Danish Scandinavian silver & cut crystal inkwell and dip pen set, dating to 1918. Elegant, the simplicity of the design is reminiscent of Art Deco or Modernist styling. This 3-piece set comprises of an inkwell, dip pen and stand. The inkwell features a thick, blown crystal body with cut beveled edges and a deeply cut 16-point starburst decorating the base. The domed lid is hinged, opening to reveal a gilt interior. The fitted stand / pen tray flares outward, accommodating for the pen, and resting atop four bun feet. The pen is streamlined in design. A beautiful set, perfect for any office. In very good condition for its age. The pen has a couple of dimples commensurate with use. Each piece is hallmarked with the Danish 3-tower mark which guarantees a silver purity minimum of 826/1000, date number for 1918, and an Assay Master mark (Stadtsguardein) for Christian F. Heise (active from 1904-1932). Total height 4 3/4". Inkstand measures 7 1/4" length x 6 1/8" width. The inkwell alone measures 3" length x 2 3/8" width x 3" height. Pen measures 7" length.
