French Classical Bronze Bust of Bacchus as a Young Man after the Antique - c. 19th Century, France

Fine classical bronze bust of a handsome young Bacchus, God of Wine, wearing a head band with grapes and vine leaves intertwined with his hair. It stands on a black stone plinth and a vertical cylindrical pedestal. Unsigned but we have seen similar pieces, in various sizes and patinas, by Barbedienne Fondeurs. Bust is in very good used condition with patina wear; stone base has chips as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.

Measurements: Total height including pedestal is 11.5"; Bust is 6.5" tall and pedestal is 3.75" in diameter at the base.
