Vintage Indonesian Batik rectangular pieces of cloth or Kain Panjang in five different patterns, wax dyed in traditional predominantly brown and blue colors. Two of them still have original labels attached that read as follows:
RED LABEL: BATIK TJAP BOEROENG PAWITORAMAN 26 M PRAWIROSOEPARTO DJOKJA
PURPLE LABEL: TJAP LEO MAS BATIK JOGJA
Until the 1960's most Indonesians, men and women alike, wore batik Sarongs or the longer Kain Panjang, a single piece of cloth which is not sewn at all but simply wrapped around the waist and held with a belt or sash. In very good condition with minor imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
Measurement : all pieces are the standard 41" wide (105 cm), lengths vary between 96" long (244 cm) and 83" long (211 cm) approximately.
There is a sixth pattern, 41" wide by 40" long, (see last photo, diagonal pattern), a remnant that's included as a bonus when buying the entire lot.
