American Folk Art Theorem Picture on Velvet Fruit Basket with Grapes and Cherries Signed Lillian Marshall Framed

Folk art picture on velvet, known as Theorem, of a still life of fruit basket holding blue flowers (apparently morning glories), black grapes, cherries and a peach. It is signed lower right Lillian Marshall 71. Artist reference found is Philadelphia Enquirer September 22, 2006 article entitled "Collections of three area arts patrons take the spotlight" (available online) where "theorem paintings by Lillian Marshall" are highlighted among the decorative arts items to be auctioned. Theorem picture painting (done with stencils) is an American Folk art technique and a popular pastime for ladies in the 1800's. In good used condition with imperfections to frame as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
