Extraordinary quality, finely modeled and painted Meissen Rococo style porcelain figurine depicting a standing shepherd leaning on a staff, with a shepherd's shoulder bag and outstretched hand, wearing a wig, a tricorne hat, a long yellow vest over a flowered, ruffled shirt, striped knickerbockers and black, red bowed shoes. He stands on a flower strewn, rocaille base that is marked on the side with under the glaze blue crossed swords. It is also numbered on the underside with a colorless, hand incised number 1774 which is consistent with the shepherd figurine model 1774 designed by Meissen sculptor Friedrich Elias Meyer (1724-1785). In very good used condition with all its fingers, shelf wear, minor paint loss and imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
