Historic and poignant print entitled September 11th showing rescue workers including a NYPD policeman and a fireman defiantly planting an American flag in the rubble of the Twin Towers while a German shepherd stands by. Its composition is reminiscent of the famous WWII Iwojima photo and monument. Mat opening below print reads: September 11th by Jamie Wyeth. Jamie Wyeth (b. 1946) is a third generation American artist, son of Andrew Wyeth (1917-2009) among America's greatest painters and grandson of N.C. Wyeth (1882-1945) famous for his illustrations of classic novels such as "Treasure island," "Last of the Mohicans" and "Robin Hood" and a disciple of Wilmington, Delaware artist Howard Pyle. The 9/11 print is ready to display enhanced by three mats and a grey wood frame with the appearance of white washed wood. In very good used condition, photo taken through glass which explains reflections. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
