'Dante and Beatrice' Framed Color Print after Painting by Pre-Raphaelist Henry Holiday - c. 1900's, England

Extraordinary color print of Dante and Beatrice after the painting by the same name by Holiday. Henry Holiday (1839-1927) was an English historical genre painter, stained glass designer, illustrator, sculptor and member of the Pre-Raphaelist movement. 'Dante and Beatrice' is considered his most important painting. He traveled to Florence to study the site of this painting (Ponte Santa Trinita) and took great care to make sure his portrayal was historically accurate. Some of Holiday's best stained glass window designs are at Westminster Abbey. In very good used condition with minor imperfections to frame as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
