Japanese Sake Barrel 13"H Blue White Ceramic - c. 19th20th Century, Japan

Interesting Japanese large ceramic sake barrel / keg with blue characters over a Mount Fuji image. It has a raised braided decor resembling chord imitating the wooden kegs tied with chords used to transport sake in earlier times. It has two side loops and is marked on the underside with Kanji characters meaning "deer" enclosed in a diamond shape. Original sake brand unknown, possibly the sake brewery Harushika (Spring Deer). Includes ceramic and cork stopper. In very good used condition with minor imperfections as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.

Measurements: 13" tall including lid by 10" diameter approximately.
