Beautifully executed Italian paintings from the beginning of the 20th century.
They are unsigned, but the elderly Italian lady that I purchased them, and several others from, immigrated from Italy about 40 years ago. Her father was an artist, and while these are not painted by him, they were part of his collection that she inherited. She says that they are from the early part of the 1900's. From the look of the paper that they are painted on, I believe that she is correct.
They would be awesome in frames that are much wider and thicker.
They are in good condition, but the frames do not have glass in them, and the one has some small spatter marks on it that are readily seen in the magnified photos. It is not readily noticeable under normal viewing conditions, but they are there.
They measure 5" x 6 5/8" with the frames. Sight is 4" x 5 5/8".
