Lovely Art Deco era necklace and earrings set is one of the nicest I have seen, featuring genuine carnelian stones and marcasites set in sterling silver. The necklace has a beveled carnelian stone set in a cut out frame with forget me not flowers on the sides and marcasites adding sparkle. The pendant is 1 1/8" x 1 7/8" in size (2.9 cm, 4.8 cm) and is suspended from a 17 inch long (43.2 cm) chain with two more forget me not stations above, and links that have a fancy embossed design on each. The clasp is a thumb-less "sport ring" that is marked Sterling. Back of pendant is marked Sterling LCW. Matching dangle earrings have screw back findings and a carnelian stone in an open frame. The top of the earring and dangle have marcasites, with the dangle portion designed as an open double diamond shape. Total length of earring is 1 7/8" long with the carnelian stone measuring 1/2" x 5/8". (1.2 cm, 1.6 cm) Marked Sterling on the finding. I note minimal wear to these pieces, with a tiny "flea bite" on the pendant stone although this is hard to see unless looking closely. Please email with any questions, and thanks for visiting Splendors of the Past on Ruby Lane.
