1930's Majolica Colorful Two Handled Urn Vase with Cherubs/Putti
Bright colors of yellow, blue, deep mauve and green are utilized in this lovely Majolica vase that dates to the 1930's. On one side are two putti or cherubs holding a vase or container, with grapes and leaves above their heads, no doubt hoping to fill their vase. The other side has another cherub plucking a cluster of grapes. The background on each side is a deep navy blue, and the cherubs are highlighted in brown. Dimensions are 6 3/4" high, 4 1/4" across at the widest point, and about 2 1/4" across the top. There is age related crazing of the glaze, and a crack in one handle shows a repair, although this is not obvious when vase is on display. Please see photos and email with any questions. Thank you!
