Homer Laughlin's Briar Rose Oblong Platter, 1930s

This is a beaut! It is Homer Laughlin's Briar Rose oblong platter with art deco-type handles and beautiful pink roses. Briar Rose was introduced in 1933 and was a very popular pattern. Even if you don't have the Briar Rose dinnerware set, this platter would be wonderful to use for serving desserts, sandwiches as well as meats.

This platter measures 11 7/8" long x 9" wide and is in great condition. The platinum trim is super. Although this piece is not marked, it is definitely from the Briar Rose line and made by Homer Laughlin Co. I believe the glaze was introduced by W. E. Wells, who became part owner of Homer Laughlin.

I have several other items from this wonderful set listed on Ruby Lane and will be happy to combine to save on shipping. Remember...I do not charge handling fees.
