Westmoreland's #556 Sawtooth Covered Candy in Milk Glass, 1950s

I've seen this piece called a covered butter, but I believe a covered candy would be the best use. It was made by Westmoreland (which is no longer in operation) in the 1950s during the milk glass craze. It was their #ST2 in the Sawtooth line.

This piece measures 6" wide x 5" high and is in very good condition. I couldn't locate any chips or cracks. It is impressive, not only in the deep diamond pattern, but because of the precision of the sawtooth design. It catches the light from all directions. Lovely.
