"Betty Crocker's Chinese Cookbook" by Leeann Chin, 1981, 1st Ed.

I use to struggle with Chinese cooking until I bought a copy of this cookbook. I can honestly say, I did not try any recipe from this cookbook that I didn't like. One of the first recipes I tried was the Lemon Chicken on page 50-51. Not only was I fixing this dish for the first time, but I was fixing it for company. Talk about stress. However, it was a hit and so delicious.

This book covers an introduction to Chinese cooking, utensils which work best and a glossary of ingredients, along with a photo of the ingredients, plus menus.

The foods covered are: Appetizers, soups, beef, pork, chicken & duck, seafood, rice/noodles/dumplings and veggies. The stir-fry dishes are spectacular and the instructions are simple. Ever made egg rolls? It is so simple and they are so good.

This book was used and has some spots of soy sauce on the back page, as well as some soiling on the Chicken Almond Ding pages...must have liked it a lot. It comes with the dust jacket, which has a little scuffing, but has done its job of keeping the hardcover clean. The majority of the book is clean. I have adjusted the price for the soiling.

Original cost was $7.95, but compare today at $20-25. Word must get around.
