Composing an attractive menu for a dinner party is a daunting task. Luckily, this book provides the host or hostess with 36 choices for each of the four courses they may choose. With this in mind, the various menu combinations are nearly endless. This allows for the host or hostess to tailor their menu to the occasion and/or specific dietary needs of their guests, or the ingredients available. All of the recipes were composed and compiled with variety in mind. The authors have provided 20 unique menus and have tips on how to create your own menus stressing attention to balance of ingredients, textures, colors, and temperatures of the dishes used.

Finally, the best part, all of these recipes were chosen with ease in mind. The authors estimate that the host or hostess should spend no more than ten minutes in the kitchen once the party has begun allowing them to enjoy the occasion stress-free. Frankly, I wish my mother had this book while I was growing up; preparation for family get togethers would have been much less hectic!

This 192 page cookbook is paperback with a plastic spiral binding with hardly any signs of wear and the pages are all in great shape.
