Delineator Magazine, November 1931 Issue

This is another Delineator magazine I am listing on Ruby Lane from 1931. I notice one difference between the two...the February issue has less colored advertising, while the ads in this magazine are more plentiful and have incorporated more colors and graduated shading. As usual, the stories draw your attention...certainly mine...and I find myself getting far enough into the text that I start to hunt down the rest of the story instead of finishing this listing.

The stories are:

"Peace and War," by William Lyon Phelps (non-fiction) "The Bunch of Grapes," a Mr. Fortune Mystery by H. C. Bailey "Wild and Woolly," by Olga Moore "Strange Bridge Fellows," by Margaret Culkin Banning "The First Hundred Years," by Anne Elizabeth Wilson "Second Hand Wife," by Kathleen Norris "Beside the Still Water," by Achmed Abdullah

...plus special features and sections on the beautiful fashions of the day, reading to children, articles on food and housekeeping. I was surprised that there weren't more items about Christmas. I did see some recipes for fudge, but not much more.

There are 108 pages, plus covers. There is some scuffing to the covers, which is to be expected for magazines of this age. There is a beautiful advertisement on the inside of the front cover by 1847 Rogers for "Her Majesty" silverware. Although there is some scuffing to the bottom of that page, it can be trimmed out with little loss.
