The I Hate To Cook Book by Peg Bracken, 1st Ed., 1960

Apparently, the former owner of this 1st edition copy of "The I Hate To Cook Book" by Peg Bracken, either knew how to cook or hated cooking more than Peg, as this book looks like it has hardly ever been opened. It comes with the dust jacket, which is a bit faded on the spine from sitting on the shelf all these years and has a short tear on the bottom edge, but it has done its job of keeping the book cover in pristine condition.

This cook book contains 176 pages, including index, and nearly 200 recipes. As stated on the dust jacket, "the recipes haven't been tested by experts. That is why they are valuable. Experts in their sunny, spotless test kitchens can make anything taste good. But even we can make these taste good."

As mentioned earlier, this book is like new...only the dust jacket has issues and they aren't that bad. At fifty, we all have issues, don't we? There is an address label left by the former owner on the inside page, in the event someone borrowed it and forgot where they got it.

This is a humorous and light look at the art of keeping your family happy and well fed. Nothing fancy, no frills.
