This is quite an unusual terrestrial globe---circa 1927. Sort of a puzzle or geographic educator piece I guess you could say. Unique 6-inch terrestrial educational jig-saw puzzle globe. Cartouche reading Terrestrial Globe 6" Dia Geographic Educator, New York, USA. Made up of twelve lithographic gores laid onto a die cast metal sphere with a map of the world, the sphere split into 6 sections. Each section with a puzzle of a different continent with all the countries named in relief. The globe rests on a cast iron tripod stand with metal rod and securing brass finial. Measures 11" high. NOTE: Some flaking to gores. One country missing from the first section. Have never had this globe for sale before. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
