This is a beautiful matched pair of Bronze sculptures, after Clodion. Each depicting Bacchus and putto atop a lion, each mounted on a marble base. After Claude Michel Clodion (French 1738-1814). Signed on base of bronze Clodion Scpt. Very heavy pieces could also be used as bookends. Approximate size: 9-1/2" H x 6-1/4" dia. Circa late 19th/early 20th century.
