Neat coin operated baseball game-circa 1940s

This is really a neat coin op tabletop baseball game. Called 'Play Ball" I would date the game circa 1940s. Not an expert on coin op but I believe you put a penny in the slot which releases the balls and then you hit the balls one at a time to get hits or outs. Wood case with original (I believe) red paint---may have been touched up some---see photos. I also have the original key to open the back. Neat graphics and original wood balls--let me know if you have questions which I have not addressed. Overall size is 13 wide, 5.25 deep, and 17.25 high.
