This is one of the finest and most detailed miniature paintings I have had in some time. Very fine work on the hair and the ladies facial features. Note also the detail of the lace work on her bonnet and dress. Signed Derval. Contained in a fabulous heavy brass easel style frame which is as detailed as the painting it contains. Original glass is slightly concave. Beautiful marriage of the two. I do not want to disassemble the piece but can tell you the back, when slightly opened, has vellum back. Painting is approximately 4.25 x 3.0 inches. Overall framed size is approximately 6.5 x 4.25 inches. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
