6 Shenango China Side Dishes B & O Railroad Co.Stearnes Co.

Each of the dishes measures 5 inches long, 4 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches in depth.

All in good condition except some rust on the edges of a couple. No chips, cracks or scratches.

These small dishes were made for The Stearnes Co. who was a supplier to restaurants and the dining cars of railroad companies back in the 1920's and 30's. The B&O formally the C.& O Railroad was one such company that used these heavy ironstone dishes. There was a number of railroad companies that bought from the Stearnes Co.

They could of been used for soap dishes, small side dishes or butter pats.
