Victorian Glass Oval Salt Cellar or Dip

This Antique salt cellar has a purple hue to it. With antique glass the components when exposed to light brings out a light purple color. Measuring 4 inches long and 1 1/2 inches high. It has a pattern on the bottom and a round roll over edge. As with Victorian glass the inside edge is rough and chippy where the glass maker did not smooth the edge down as the modern day glass makers do. Results a rough inside edge. Very old and unique. Ca. late 1800's
