Vintage Hand Painted Wooden Salad Bowl Set Apple Design 1950’s

Seven piece set consists of one large footed serving bowl, four smaller salad bowls and a Salad fork and Spoon for tossing and serving the salad. A few original labels are still affixed to the bottoms.

Serving bowl measures 12 3/4" in diameter and is 4 1/2" in height. Individual bowls are 5 5/8” in diameter and 1 7/8” in height Fork and Spoon are each 11” in length.

All pieces are hand painted. Each bowl has the signature of the artist who painted it.

The design mimics the apple design made popular by Franciscan Ware products.

Each piece of this set has been carved from one piece of solid wood. There are no seams to worry about.

Condition is used. Three small bowls are in very good vintage condition. One has a few rough marks that look like burns. The large bowl has a few scrapes on the bottom. The rest of the bowl looks quite spiffy.

Large bowl is imprinted with Rio Grande Woodenware and has a part of the label over it. Three of the smaller bowls have worn labels on their bottoms.

Utensils are not uniform in the coloring. There are dark and light tones. The apple on the fork handle is a bit worn off. Backs of these are impressed FRANCE.

They look great with the Franciscan Apple Tea Bag Holders in my shop shown in the last photo. I will be throwing in the salt and pepper split apple shakers as a bonus if you order both the salad set as well as the tea bag holders.
