Vintage Ormolu Mounted French Dresser Rectangular Vanity Mirror Tray

This exquisite vanity tray has a mirrored base bordered with gilt metal swirls along the sides and stylized flowers in each of the corners. On either end, there is a semi-circle with padded dusty rose brocade type fabric set at a 45 degree angle and topped with wonderful ormolu swirls. The exterior of this is white and there is a terrific beige colored trim applied around the bottom of the mirror. The mirrored base measures approximately 10 1/4" by 5" and the angled sides are 2.14" bringing the total length of this wonderful old piece to 13 1/2" measured straight across. It sits on bun feet with the mirror approximately 3/4" high and the sides standing 2 1/8". We are not sure of the exact age, however believe it dates from the 1930's or earlier. There is wear to the gilding on the feet, some age discoloration to the underside trim, one of the end swirls is attached on one side only, and there is the tiniest mark in the mirror none of which is noticeable and this fabulous tray is otherwise in excellent condition and extremely beautiful.
