Reverse Carved Lucite Black Plastic Cameo Mourning Brooch & Earrings Set
This large brooch and earring set is reminiscent of Victorian mourning jewelry and dates from the 1930's. The pieces all have a central, finely detailed, oval medallion of a beautiful woman in a molded jet black plastic with bevelled edges. This has been glued to a transparent, reversed carved, oval lucite with softly curved edges. A wonderful design and contrast! The brooch is huge, measuring just shy of 3" by 2 3/8" and has a simple c-type pinback. The screw back earrings measure 1 1/8" by 7/8". All pieces are in excellent condition.
