Laminated Plastic Woman With Large Hat Beaded Necklace & Earring Set

An unusual and very striking necklace and earring set from the 1970's. The necklace is comprised of a single strand of black beads at the back & sides splitting into three strands at the front, and is embellished with small goldtone beads, a single hexagonal faux mother of pearl bead with black ends on one side, and a fabulous, stylized woman's head with large hat in black, shimmering mother of pearl, and salmon coral colors on the other side. The woman's face with the same angular features, black hair, and coral colored hat with MOP highlights are shown on the clip-on earrings in a smaller size. The necklace is 28 1/2" long with the wonderful laminated lady's head measuring approximately 2 1/4" by 4 1/2". The earrings are approximately 1 " by 1 7/8". There is some glue showing on the back of one of the earrings which is not noticeable from the front and does not detract and this cool retro set is in excellent condition.
