1935 Commemorative Pillow Cover Kit - King George V Jubilee
This wonderful old pillow cover kit was made to celebrate the silver jubilee of King George V. The printed banner at the top and bottom reads 'King George V' and '1910 Jubilee 1935' respectively and would be suitable for embroidering. The printed area between the two banners has the Canadian symbols of the beaver and maple leaf as well as the Union Jack flag of Great Britain and the Canadian flag of the time, the Red Ensign. The material is a cream colored linen or cotton/linen blend and the printed colors are strong red, blue, green, brown and gold. The panel measures approximately 34" by 17 1/2" and is printed on one half with the other intended to form the pillow back. It is in excellent condition with some minor stains at the bottom that will likely wash out and do not detract.
