BIRKS Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps Sterling Silver Compact

The compact itself is very beautiful with engraved flowers and leaves in the four corners. The flowing lines of this engraving contrasts wonderfully with the square shape of the compact and the diagonal angles. The center medallion has the enamel and silver emblem with crown, wreath of maple leaves and the Rod of Aesculapius (a serpent entwined about a rod - the international medical sign), together with "Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps". The compact measures 2 1/2" square and is complete with the powder sifter and puff. It is in excellent condition with only minor signs of age/use which are exaggerated in the close up photos but in reality are only noticeable on very close examination and do not detract.

This quality compact was made by Birks, one of Canada's oldest and finest jewelers. A terrific piece of Canadian military memorabilia and a very cool addition to a military or compact collection.
