King George V and Queen Mary Copeland Spode Decanter 1911
This beautiful antique Copeland Spode whiskey or wine decanter is from my grandmother's estate. It is a gorgeous piece commemorating the coronation of George V and Queen Mary in 1911. You will find this piece identified and valued in "Collector's Encyclopedia of English China" by Mary Frank Gaston. Although the decanter in the book is a dark green color, this is a glazed deep blue piece. I have not seen the blue one in any of the research I have done, so quite possibly it is a rare find!!
The decanter is in perfect condition, and I can find no flaws (it was well taken care of) other than the cork part of the crown top is quite dry due to age. The decanter measures approximately 10 ¼ inches high. The diameter of the bottom is approximately 4 ¼ inches across.
Please Note: This item is listed on other sites, so there is a slight possibility it will not be available at the time you request it. I do check often, and if it is sold elsewhere, it will immediately be removed from this site. Ruby Lane.
