This is a great old Cabinet Card of a young mother and her daughter. Just look at that clothing with that beautiful lace collar. This Carte Vista is from Marion, Iowa and the name at the bottom of the photograph studio or Photographer is Elliot. This measures 4 1/4" x 6 1/2" and when you flip it over, on the back is the advertisement for the photographer which is a work of art in itself. The back has the name on a banner H. J. ELLIOT and it says Portraits. Under that it has Marion, Iowa. Instantaneous portraits of children a specialty. Duplicates can be had at any time. These mounts are imported for our trade. There is pencil writing on the back written very lightly, but I can't make out the words, I believe it may be a different or foreign language to my native English tongue.
