1954 Horseless Carriage Club Souvenir Booklet Beloit, Kansas

This is a wonderful booklet commemorating the National Midwest tour of the HORSELESS CARRIAGE CLUB at Beloit, Kansas. It is dated May 21 - 22 - 23 , 1954 on the front and features a man hand cranking a car at the bottom.

It has 52 pages and many articles and wonderful old advertisements such as the one that has the Schlitz Beer truck in the background and while you are looking at that picture, see the grocery prices on the window at the right -- Bacon for 69 cents, Hamburger for 39 cents. It has a picture of an old Harvester Thresher picture from Moritz Implement co. A Ben Franklin Store, a J.C. Penney Co., Gambles Store with an old wringer washer in front , and phone numbers of such as 222 or 888. or 97 are all in this booklet. In the back it talks about some of the surrounding towns including WACONDA which is now underneath Waconda Lake -- how about that. This is a wonderful old book with many wonderful ads and photographs.
