C1959-60 Cissette Bride Doll Madame Alexander 840 Blonde Tagged Nice Color 10 In

This is a C 1959-1960 Cissette Bride Doll by Madame Alexander in her original #840 Tagged Bridal Ensemble. The petticoat is tagged Cissette. Cissette is a very clean 10" jointed hard plastic fashion doll. She has a zig zag stitched shiny blonde wig in the original set, tight hip and neck joints (I restrung her head), the arms do not hold a pose and hang at her side except the gown bodice and skirt are so full that the fabric holds her arms up nicely, blue molded lash sleep eyes with peach color eyelids, original pearl earrings sitting underneath her curls, beautiful face paint with strong blush to her cheeks and bright rose red lips, no splits or cracks, very very clean hard plastic body, her knees click into position nicely, and no odor. Her gorgeous bridal gown is more than a circle so the skirt fabric is very generous. This bridal outfit is #840 and consists of a gown of nylon tulle with a cloud of nylon tulle chapel length veiling. As I have seen before, the nylon tulle can get a bit "creamy" from age as this one has, mostly to the skirt and veiling. Not bad though as the color is a light cream. Sometimes it can appear with a "gray" cast so the outfit is not brilliant snow white. There are no stains, spotting or breaks or tears to the tulle. and the condition of the tulle is excellent. The nylon petticoat is very very crisp almost like crispy paper so it has obtained some splits to it mostly centered in one section closer to the hem and another smaller section. These splits are not seen though when displaying the doll as there is so much fabric to the dress. The waist elastic is still tight. A white satin ribbon sash goes around her waist, her original pearl necklace has lost most of the "pearly" finish to the beads, her bridal bouquet of white cabbage roses and white satin streamers is in beautiful pristine condition, and her veiling is attached to a matching coronet of white flowers. Underneath she is wearing her original white taffeta panties (waist elastic slightly stretched), New Replacement white high heels and her rhinestone "diamond" engagement ring on her left hand. Again her main issue is the aging of the nylon tulle to a cream color with a gray overcast ( a common issue) so the fabric is not snow white. She was never played with.
